Privacy Policy.

This policy explains what happens to your information when you use steermedia.com. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past — if anything here is unclear, email us and we will answer plainly.

1. Who we are

Steer Media Tech L.L.C. (“Steer Media”, “we”, “us”) is a creative and advertising agency operating from Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Karachi, Pakistan. We are the controller of the personal data described below.

2. What we collect

Information you give us. When you submit the enquiry form on this site we receive the fields you complete: your name, email address, the service you are interested in, an indicative budget range, and your message. Nothing else in the form is required.

What we measure. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and the Meta pixel to measure whether our advertising on Facebook and Instagram is working. Both set cookies and both send data to their providers, who may use it to build advertising profiles. Neither runs until you accept them: outside the EEA, UK and Switzerland they are on by default and the banner lets you switch them off; inside those regions nothing loads until you press Accept. Declining costs you nothing — every part of the site works either way.

What we still do not do. We do not sell or rent anyone's data — not ever, to anyone — and we do not use these tools to identify you personally.

Technical information. Like any website, our host records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) for security and to keep the site running. Our spam check also receives your IP address at the moment you submit the form — see section 4.

3. How we use it

We use what you send us to reply to your enquiry, to prepare a proposal if you ask for one, and to keep a record of the conversation. That is the whole list.

Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you choose to send the form, together with our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and protecting the site from abuse. We do not send marketing emails unless you have separately asked us to.

4. Third-party services on this site

We keep these to a minimum, and we would rather name them than hide them in a paragraph. Each one may receive your IP address and basic browser information because your browser connects to it directly:

• Cloudflare Turnstile — the “are you human” check on our forms. It exists so the form cannot be abused by bots. It does not track you across websites.
• Google Fonts — serves the typeface the site is set in.
• jsDelivr — serves the animation libraries the site uses.
• Google Maps — the office maps on our contact page.
• YouTube and Vimeo — the players on our video pages. YouTube embeds use the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie mode, and no video loads until you press play.
• Google Analytics — measures how pages are used. Loads only with your consent, and never in the EEA, UK or Switzerland until you accept.
• Meta (Facebook/Instagram) pixel — measures our advertising. Same consent rule as above. Meta may use this data for its own advertising purposes; their policy governs that.
• Our email host — delivers the enquiry to our inbox.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy, which governs what it does with the connection your browser makes to it.

5. Cookies

Until you make a choice on the banner, the only thing this site stores is your choice itself — a single sm-consent entry in your browser's local storage, which never leaves your device. Accepting lets Google Analytics and the Meta pixel set their own cookies (_ga and _fbp among them). Declining means they are never loaded, so those cookies are never set. You can change your mind at any time using the button below. The embedded services above may set their own cookies when their content loads — most notably YouTube, Vimeo and Google Maps. Blocking third-party cookies in your browser will not stop the rest of the site from working.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept in our business inbox for as long as the commercial relationship or discussion is live, and then for up to 24 months so we can pick up a conversation where it left off. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider. Ask us to delete your enquiry sooner and we will.

7. Who we share it with

Your enquiry goes to Steer Media staff working on new business. We do not share it with anyone else, except where we must to run the service (our email host), or where the law requires it. Because we operate in the UAE and Pakistan and use international service providers, your information may be processed outside your own country.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

Depending on where you live you may have additional rights — for example under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law, or the GDPR if you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. We apply the same process to every request regardless of where it comes from.

9. Security

The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are validated on the server, and access to our inbox is restricted to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send passwords, card numbers or identity documents through the enquiry form.

10. Children

This site is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
